RESIDENTIAL SECURITY

A Residential Security Team (RST) is an integral part of any Close Protection detail. High-end city properties, country estates, and even luxury hotel suites are unfortunately often a target for opportunistic criminals or targeted attacks.

Employing your own on-site Residential Security Team is the perfect solution to combat these threats.

Protecting and monitoring your residences 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, all of our RST operatives are ex-Military/Police, and all highly-experienced in Close Protection. We understand the sensitivities and etiquette surrounding private residencies, which is why we endeavour to provide a comprehensive security service, whilst still allowing our clients the privacy and space to enjoy their home with minimal disruption or intrusion.

As with all of our Close Protection services, Residential Security is a completely bespoke package tailored to the needs and requirements of our clients, and of course the perceived threat level. This can vary from the employment of a single onsite operative, right up to large teams of operatives covering multiple estates.

The covert vs. overt approach to private security is also applicable when it comes to RST. Understandably, many clients wish to retain an element of privacy and to almost not even know that the security team are there. Whereas other clients prefer to have a more obvious presence with operatives conducting regular patrols for example, which can not only give visual reassurance, but can also act as a deterrent against any intrusion.

In addition, all of our operatives hold a Level 3 Medical qualification or above, meaning that our clients are provided with an on-site First Responder who can assist in the event of any medical incident or emergency.

Ascalon Protection Group also partner with several reputable firms in the security technology sector. As a result we are able to provide the installation of various security systems, such as security control rooms, CCTV, alarm systems, specialist security doors, and even cyber security measures.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT DOES A RESIDENTIAL SECURITY TEAM DO?

The job of a Residential Security team is to protect the client, and to protect the client’s property. Core duties will consist of monitoring CCTV, logging any occurrences and controlling access to the property, but in some instances may extend to conducting patrols, taking deliveries, liaising with household staff, and locking down the property at night. They will also work closely with the main Close Protection team, in order to ensure the smooth movement of the client when moving in and out of the property.

CAN THE RESIDENTIAL SECURITY TEAM OPERATE 24/7, 365 DAYS A YEAR?

Absolutely, and they are designed to do just that. Properties are not only under-threat when the client is at home, and many criminals actually take advantage of periods during the year where occupants are likely to be absent. Residential Security teams will usually work back-to-back in 12 hour shifts, ensuring your residence stays protected even when you’re away.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE CAMERAS INSIDE MY RESIDENCE?

No, not at all. Our services are completely tailored around you, and allowing our clients to retain as much of their privacy and independence is extremely important to us. In most cases it is sufficient to have CCTV coverage on the perimeter of the residence, access points and covering the property's exterior, without having to interfere with private or interior areas.

CAN I HAVE RESIDENTIAL SECURITY WHEN STAYING IN A HOTEL?

Yes. Whilst hotels do have their own security measures in place, they are often limited due to the space they have to cover vs the manpower available. To this end, it is common for clients to have a dedicated element of private security on-hand when staying in hotels. Again, how this looks will depend on the situation, the client and the threat level.
